The Department offers seven 2nd Cycle/MSc courses, all of them with 120 ECTS: Statistics, Systems Statistics, Mathematics, Mathematics Teaching, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Economics and Finance, and Mathematics and Computation.

The MSc in Statistics is a professional degree designed to provide training in statistics focused on developing data analysis skills, and exploration of all core areas of applied statistics.

The MSc in Systems Statistics provides a valuable preparation for professional statistical practice applied to life and earth sciences, industry, business and public services. The programme is designed for graduates in several areas such as engineering, biology, geology, and economics.

The MSc in Mathematics is mainly designed to graduates in Mathematics which want to deepen their knowledge the fundamental areas of Mathematics with a strong appetence for research.

The MSc in Mathematics Teaching is devoted to the formation of teaching activities at the basic and secondary level.

The MSc in Applied Mathematics intends to give the students mathematical techniques in order to be able to deal with industry and science application.

The MSc in Mathematical Economics and Finance, jointly offered by the DMA and the School of Economics and Management of UM, gives students the tools to be successful in careers in the financial world.

The MSc in Mathematics and Computation is a degree with a focus on computational solutions to mathematical problems.
