The Department of Mathematics and Applications (DMA) is a permament subunit if the School of Sciences of the University of Minho.

According to its Regulation, the DMA is governed by three organs: 

                   The Department's Council; 
                   The Director ;
                   The Directive Commision.

The present Director of the DMA is Professor Gueorgui Smirnov.
